We are offering subscriptions to boxes (and bags) filled with fresh, local produce and fruit. These boxes are a great way to get your regular weekly groceries if you can’t make it to OZCF Market Day or just want the veg and fruit basics covered before you go shop for a few special extras.
We currently offer the following options:
VEG BOX (Standard):
10 items, Suitable for a household of 3-4 or for sharing
Collection date / time: Wednesday 2:30 to 6:30pm
Collection point: OZCF (corner Upper Orange Street and Sidmouth Avenue, Oranjezicht)
Cost: R195 per week. R5 credit per week with own bag, toward renewal
Next subscription period: 9 Jan – 13 March (10 weeks).

Every week, every fruit box includes approximately 10 items with 2 to 4 different kinds of fruit depending on the size, season, cost and availability.

About Harvest of Hope: A completely community-supported veg box service run by the pioneering NGO Abalimi Bezekhaya. All income supports local micro-farmer development. Their farmers receive continued support and problem solving while their garden centres provide training and resources for over 3 000 home gardeners. Their mission is to help people grow food and their vision is a Cape Town without hunger and an abundance of healthy food to go around.

Terms and Conditions
Subscriptions and fees:
- Payments must be made in full in advance.
- Late payments are not possible.
- Anyone who cancels or loses their subscription who wants to re-subscribe will be required to pay the admin joining fee.
Box contents:
- The contents of the boxes are e-mailed to subscribers weekly in advance. If you do not like an item in your box, you may leave it at the farm, and it will be donated to the Service Dining Rooms, who will use it to help feed the homeless residents of the CBD. No returns, exchanges or refunds.
- Subscriptions cannot be placed on hold (e.g., if you are out of town) or collected at an alternate time/place. If no one picks up your box of produce (you, a person in your family, or someone you arranged to pick up your produce), your box will be donated to the Service Dining Rooms.
