Enjoy a morning learning brush calligraphy taught by letter artist Leesette Turner at the world’s most beautiful outdoor studio, the Oranjezicht City Farm. We will explore brush lettering and its endless possibilities.
Spend the first half of the lesson learning the basics of brush manipulation and letters. We will explore a basic style and depending on how you progress move on to writing short words and sentences. Beginners are encouraged to sign up, and although the focus of this class is an introduction, all are welcome to join in, even if you’ve done brush calligraphy before, and “brush up.”
Those who progress to short words can have a go at botanical-themed quotes which Leesette will demo to inspire you.
This workshop is suitable for ages 12 upwards.
All participants will receive a gorgeous Brush Calligraphy set to take home, which includes a brush, ink, paper and full instructions on how to write the entire alphabet. When booking please indicate the name of the person attending as the brush sets will be personalised.
